The Shirasu is exceptionally smooth and features a highly precise Micro Disc drag system for fine, consistent drag adjustment. The screw-in aluminium crank handle threads directly into the reel body, eliminating unwanted movement and providing a solid, connected feel when under load.
Balzer’s tried-and-tested S-Stroke system guarantees excellent line lay, helping maximise casting performance while reducing line issues. The Shirasu also incorporates Total Tolerance Control (T.T.C.), which reduces mechanical tolerances in the crank, gears and drag system for a smoother, more precise reel.
The Anti Swing System (A.S.S.) helps prevent unwanted vibration, while the large drag discs provide a finely adjustable and consistent drag.
